Mental Health

Welcome to the Counselling Centre

We provide a broad range of free, confidential services to students currently registered and attending classes at Acadia University.

We use a Stepped Care 2.0 model of service delivery that strives to offer a 30-minute first appointment within 24 hours to create a plan based on your concerns and needs. Plans may include individual or group counselling, e-mental health options, and/or peer support.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Updated March 26, 2020

As we are seeing, the situation regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is changing daily, as is public health advice. In addition, some of us may find ourselves needing to self-isolate. In light of this, we will provide our counselling services through phone or video (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) options.

You should stay home.

If you are worried that you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please use the self-assessment tool provided by 811.

For all other health-related inquires clearly not related to COVID-19, students may contact Student Health Centre or other Medical Centres.
