Welcome to the Counselling Centre

The Counselling Centre offers free and confidential services for all Acadia students and we are here to support your mental health needs.

We use a Stepped Care 2.0 model of service delivery that strives to offer a 30-minute first appointment within 24 hours to create a plan based on your concerns and needs. Plans may include individual or group counselling, e-mental health options, and/or peer support.

Counselling Centre changes due to COVID-19

  • Appointments can be made through email. No drop-in appointments.
  • Counsellors are seeing clients virtually, by phone and in person if deemed necessary by the Counselling Centre
  • If an in-person appointment is needed, then we will inform you of the protocols for coming into the Counselling Centre

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

As we are seeing, the situation regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is changing daily, as is public health advice. In addition, some of us may find ourselves needing to self-isolate. In light of this, we will provide our counselling services through phone or video (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) options.

Please visit Acadia's COVID-19 information website for details and updates.
